The program includes private transport to an appointment with the specialized and authorized guide of Vesuvius for the start of the climb of the volcano at 9 in the morning with access to the entire cone. The intense trekking route of medium difficulty involves a difference in altitude of approximately 800 meters for a total of approximately 11 km.   During this journey, topics of volcanology and history will be explained and addressed, it will be explained from the point of view of a volcanologist, how Vesuvius was formed, how it covered Pompeii and Herculaneum, but above all the minerals and soils of past eruptions will be literally touched.  You will be able to get close to the caldarole, heat points,  and reach the highest point of the cone, and then continue along slopes of volcanic sand, passing through expanses of lava, and finally reach the vineyard for a unique wine tasting among the vineyards of the Sorrentino company.

The company, Sorrentino Vini, is located on a unique slope of Vesuvius which was characterized by powerful pyroclastic waves that covered Pompeii during the eruptions of 79AD.  And it is precisely here that the trekking route will end, to connect to the tasting in the vineyard, where our sommelier from the European Sommelier School will guide you in the exploration of volcanic wines.
